Start with the county and the plan

Florida uses HealthCare.gov for its insurance Marketplace. Oscar’s presence in the state does not guarantee options in every county. Use the Florida 2026 brochure and official tools to check the plan, doctors and prescriptions before choosing.

A better-prepared conversation

Plan availability and authority to sell are separate. Confirm Oscar’s current requirements for your license and situation.

Identify the need

Prepare the county, coverage year and task: enrollment, documentation or follow-up.

Check dates and evidence

Distinguish the event date from the date coverage ends. Check current special enrollment requirements.

Organize the information

Help identify doctor, prescription and expected-income questions. Use appropriate channels for sensitive information.

Questions when life changes

How can I help after a client loses work coverage?

Confirm the actual coverage end date and qualifying coverage. A special enrollment window is generally 60 days before or after the loss; prepare the supporting notice.

Does marriage automatically mean a client can enroll?

No. Check the event date and prior-coverage requirement, including applicable exceptions, before discussing a plan selection. The Marketplace determines eligibility.

What should I check for pregnancy or ongoing care?

Review the exact plan’s maternity providers, specialists, prescriptions and costs. Pre-existing-condition protection is not a promise that every service is free. Pregnancy alone does not create a HealthCare.gov special enrollment period.

What changes after a baby arrives or a household moves?

Confirm which family members may enroll or change plans. Birth and qualifying moves have different rules; prior coverage generally matters for a move. Recheck county and network information.

Can Safeguard and Associates help with my next step?

Share the task you need to resolve and your licensing state. Our team can help organize contracting, training and operational questions. An inquiry does not guarantee an Oscar appointment.

Confirm availability, service area and requirements before proceeding. An inquiry does not establish a carrier appointment. Marketplace enrollment rules and protections are not exclusive benefits of this carrier. Availability, benefits and costs depend on the county, plan, coverage year and eligibility.

Prepare for your next client conversation

Share your licensing state and the task you need help with. We can help identify what to confirm.
