Start with the county and the plan

Florida uses HealthCare.gov for its insurance Marketplace. Oscar’s presence in the state does not guarantee options in every county. Use the Florida 2026 brochure and official tools to check the plan, doctors and prescriptions before choosing.

Your household and budget matter

These annual household income examples represent 200% of the 2025 federal poverty guideline used for 2026 coverage in Florida. They are not premiums, quotes or qualifying limits. Expected 2026 income and other eligibility requirements must be assessed. Compare deductibles and costs when receiving care, too.

Questions when life changes

I lost my work insurance. What now?

Losing qualifying job-based coverage may open an enrollment window, generally 60 days before or after it ends. Keep the termination date and notice handy; the Marketplace may request proof.

We just got married. Can we enroll?

You may qualify within 60 days after marriage. Generally, at least one spouse needs qualifying coverage for one day in the preceding 60 days; exceptions exist. Confirm your household's eligibility before choosing a plan.

We had a baby. When should we act?

Apply within 60 days after birth; coverage can start on the birth date. If you already have Marketplace coverage, report the birth promptly. Adding a baby does not necessarily let existing family members switch plans.

I moved to Florida or another county. Does that matter?

A qualifying move can create an enrollment opportunity when new plans become available. Prior coverage generally matters: usually at least one day in the preceding 60 days. Keep your move date, new address and coverage records ready; exceptions exist.

My household income changed. Should I report it?

Yes. Update your Marketplace application so savings reflect your current estimate for the coverage year. The updated eligibility result will explain your options; an income change does not automatically guarantee a new enrollment window.

I am turning 26. When does my next coverage start?

First confirm when your parent's coverage actually ends. Losing that coverage can open a special enrollment opportunity. The date may depend on the plan; do not assume it always ends on your birthday.

I work for myself. Can I explore Marketplace coverage?

Yes. Prepare your expected net self-employment income for the coverage year and your household details. Enrollment timing still applies; starting a business alone should not be presented as a guaranteed special enrollment event.

Can I get coverage with diabetes or a heart condition?

Marketplace plans cannot reject you or charge more because of a pre-existing condition. For an Oscar option in your area, check your doctors, prescriptions, supplies and plan costs; that protection does not make every service free.

I am pregnant or planning a pregnancy. What should I check?

Marketplace plans cover pregnancy and childbirth, including a pregnancy that began before coverage. Check the maternity network and your share of costs. Pregnancy itself does not create a HealthCare.gov special enrollment period; other qualifying events may.

Confirm availability and policy terms for your area before choosing. An inquiry does not enroll you in a plan or activate coverage. Marketplace enrollment rules and protections are not exclusive benefits of this carrier. Availability, benefits and costs depend on the county, plan, coverage year and eligibility.
